Futurisca A computational laboratory for the future
Roadmap

What is being built, and what is not

Written down so it can be held to. Nothing here is a promise with a date attached.

In order

Shipped

Every country, real geometry, the monitor

238 countries with provenance marks, a choropleth map and a 3D globe drawn from real boundaries, a sortable world table with country profiles, and live open data beside it.

Coalitions and the exact decomposition

A lever can be imposed by a whole bloc at once, and growth, inflation and unemployment are built as a sum of named terms so the drill down reconciles to the headline.

Done
Shipped

An analyst, a brain and a data room

Questions answered with their working and their sources, a knowledge graph with two networks trained on it and scored on countries they did not see, and an organisation's own files put against every run.

Backtesting against the record

The model started from a past year with that year's figures and scored against what the World Bank recorded after it, on the Reliability tab, printed whichever way it comes out.

Done
Shipped

One world for a team

Analyses shared with every member, saved scenarios shared with a switch, the organisation's company files published once for everyone, and one set of world figures.

Ranges, today and signs to watch

The company priced in every future rather than the median one, its countries read against the Live desk, options for flagged supply, the signs that show which way a scenario is going, reports, and analyses kept against the account.

Done
Next

Sub national regions for the largest economies

States and provinces for the countries where a national average hides more than it shows. The data layer is the work, not the map.

In progress
Next

Firms and commodities as first class objects

Click a commodity or an industry rather than only a country. The concept always included these, and the state layer has to be defensible before they are worth adding.

In progress
Planned

History for every field

The backtest starts from a past year's output, population, inflation and unemployment, and from today's structure for everything else. A history of the structure (energy, trade, stability) would take that flattering leak out of it.

Planned
Not planned

A confident single number

It would be easy to add and it would be the end of the product. The answer is a distribution, and it will stay one.

Declined

What would you build next

The order above is a judgement, not a decree. If something you need is missing, say so through the contact form and it gets weighed against the rest.
